Jayant Menon, MD
Medical Director
Jayant Menon MD is Atom Limbs’ Medical Director and reports to CEO Tyler Hayes.
Jayant is an experienced neurosurgeon currently currently practicing at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center.
Jayant is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Stanford Health Care, teaching trauma surgery and neurosurgery residents about the care of critically ill patients.
Previously, Jayant was both a neurosurgeon and Director of Medical Operations at Neuralink. Jayant created the clinical trial team and was the original first author of Neuralink’s First-in-Human Early Feasibility FDA Clinical Trial. Jayant also performed robot-assisted implantation of cortical micro-electrodes in pre-clinical FDA studies.
Prior to Neuralink, Jayant was Director of Health at IDEO, working as a physician-designer on BCIs, collaborating with DARPA, Medtronic, and Johnson & Johnson.
Jayant did his fellowship at Stanford and medical internship and residency at UCSD.
